If you feel the need to “tell the church” as it says in Matthew 18, you should know that the institutionally designated offices of safeguarding and professional standards are not “the Church”. These offices are filled with professionals whose duty it is to LEGALLY defend the hierarchy and who, by all appearances, follow a policy of never admitting any wrong-doing regardless of the evidence they come across. Furthermore they use techniques with victims that are known to cause psychological damage.
Instead, tell your fellow Catholics. We are the Church.
